Hey y’all! Today I wanted to write a quick little post about my newest designation as a Military Relocation Specialist and some benefits of using the VA Loan and how I can help navigate a relocation and/or move to while ending active duty or transferring duty stations.
Last week I attended a class in order to get my Military Relocation Specialist designation. Being a Veteran I felt that it was a necessary step in my real estate career to get this designation because even though I’ve worked with Veterans and active-duty military members, I felt like I was missing some valuable information that could better help me serve my clients. And I was right!
Everyone knows that moving is hard, especially if you’re changing states, but try incorporating an active duty military status into that move as well. It can be especially stressful for the spouse that isn’t on active duty and they are the ones that are trying to navigate the move and coordinate the logistics of this stressful time while their spouse is potentially in another state or even another country. This is where someone like myself comes along and helps eliminate some of the stress and frustrations that accompany a military move or relocation.
As a Military Relocation Specialist, I have an understanding of the processes and procedures involved in a military relocation and how they impact service members’ relocation and housing choices. I’m able to provide information to help members through a rent or buy, sell or rent decision-making process. I can identify and provide services that help service members sell or find and purchase suitable homes for their current situation and duty status. Because of my knowledge of the military relocation process, I’m able to guide service members and their spouses through a real estate transaction with the least amount of stress possible. It’s my job to serve you while you’re serving our country. 🙂
As a Veteran myself and one that has used the VA loan twice, I’m knowledgeable and familiar with the VA loan and financing and will be able to help you decide if the VA loan is the best financing decision for you at the current time of your purchase. The VA loan has so many benefits! Below are just a few.
- No Down Payment. By far, the single-largest benefit of the VA loan is that qualified Veterans can purchase without a down payment.
- No Private Mortgage Insurance.
- Competitive Interest Rates.
- Relaxed Credit Requirements.
- Closing Cost Limits.
- Lifetime Benefit.
- No Prepayment Penalties.
- Foreclosure Avoidance.
Many clients that I work with are already out of the service when they are moving back here to Kentucky or thinking about finally buying now that their service has ended. No matter what the situation may be, relocation, duty station change, retirement, I’m here to serve you while you serve our country.
If you or someone you know is thinking about relocating or has general questions about using the VA loan or buying a home as a Veteran or Active Duty Military Member, please share this article with them and have them reach out if they have any questions!
Please enjoy these hilarious photos of myself during my glory days while you’re reading. 😉

Until next time, take care y’all!
